Last Thursday, January 22th, we attended the New Year's Cocktail Reception hosted by Consul General Masato Watanabe, together with Honorary Consul General in Las Vegas Kathleen Blakely.

Consul General Watanabe spoke about his expectation for this year.
One of his remarks was, as he had mentioned in the local news paper "Las Vegas Japan Times ", Sister City ~ sister-city relationships between Nevada and Japan ~ along with some Japanese businesses already got strong tie with Nevada.
By the way, that night, we met a cool "Rakugo-ka" Daiane Kichijitsu, a lady who plays "Rakugo" which is a form of Japanese verbal entertainment! AMAZING!
(as you may know her name "Daiane Kichijitsu" means Lucky day or Auspicious day.)
We enjoyed nice food ~ include tasty sushi ~ and greeting many people ;-)
